Napa County Crisis Stabilization Unit

The Crisis Stabilization Services Program provides immediate response on a short-term basis (lasting less than 24 hours) to help individuals of all ages affected by problems and symptoms associated with acute mental health crises. Crisis stabilization services are designed to stabilize and alleviate the crisis and symptoms, allowing individuals to return home or transition to the appropriate level of care. Crisis stabilization services also include medication evaluation and psychiatric medication to those who have a serious mental health problem who may be at risk of experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

Napa County Mobile Response Team

The Napa County Mental Health Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides community-based interventions for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Our team is available to deploy into the community to provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization. The MRT is staffed by Licensed/Registered Mental Health Counselors and Mental Health Workers who can provide services throughout Napa County including residences, parks, shelters, schools, hospitals. The goal of MRT is to de-escalate the crisis and safely connect individuals with mental health care and resources. Mobile Response Team services are available Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Mentis, Healthy Minds Healthy Aging

Healthy Minds-Healthy Aging is a prevention and early intervention program for residents of Napa Valley aged 60+ and show early signs of depression and / or cognitive decline. We provide free, in-home bilingual services, which include evidence-based assessments, case management and brief therapeutic interventions. Additionally, we also offer services to caregivers of older adults. Healthy Minds-Healthy Aging provides community education regarding dementia and depression to reduce stigma and encourage access to therapy, as well as activities from cooking to movement classes in partnership with local organizations like Rianda House and Innovations Community Center.

Puertas Abiertas, La Cultura Cura Workshop Series

Seasonal Spanish program for older adults led by a licensed therapist. The program provides workshops in a group setting that explores themes of one’s well-being and mental health tools.


Up Valley Family Centers

Our compassionate case managers provide social connections, educational and enrichment opportunities, and comprehensive social services to improve the health and wellbeing of low-income and Latino older adults up valley. The team provides workshops, such as Lunch and Learn once a month, and special workshops at mobile home parks in Calistoga for English speakers. For Spanish speakers, we offer weekly groups to foster social connectedness.
